LIVE IN MEXICO

ON SAMSUNG TV PLUS, BEGINNING ON FEBRUARY 26

COMBATE GLOBAL’S SAMSUNG TV PLUS FAST CHANNEL WILL ALSO STREAM OVER 140 SHOWS ON A 24/7 BASIS IN MEXICO

NEW YORK February 2, 2026 – COMBATE GLOBAL and Samsung TV Plus today announced an expansion of their partnership to Mexico, including live distribution of all 20 COMBATE GLOBAL television events in 2026.

The announcement comes on the heels of COMBATE GLOBAL’s strong, first-year viewership figures on the Samsung TV Plus platform in the U.S. as well as after a history of stellar ratings over the course of four years on Mexico’s two biggest media platforms, TV Azteca and Televisa.

In addition to live streaming the entire 2026 event series, the COMBATE GLOBAL FAST channel is available to all Samsung connected TVs* in Mexico.  This channel will feature COMBATE GLOBAL’s library of over 140 past shows that took place throughout the U.S. and Mexico as well as in Colombia and Peru.

“Live sports create a strong connection with audiences who want to experience every moment in real time. On Samsung TV Plus, we are excited to bring the live MMA championship through COMBATE GLOBAL to all our users in Mexico, strengthening our FAST content offering with relevant programming tailored to our viewers’ interests.” celebrates Aline Jabbour, Samsung TV Plus’ LATAM Senior Director.

“COMBATE’s success on Samsung TV Plus in the U.S. led to an obvious move to Samsung TV Mexico.  COMBATE is often called the salsa of MMA,” said COMBATE GLOBAL CEO Campbell McLaren.

In 2025, COMBATE GLOBAL and Samsung TV Plus partnered to roll out a COMBATE GLOBAL FAST channel in the U.S. that distributed the MMA promotion’s live events and library fights, as one of the first Sports combat partners to go live on the platform.

COMBATE GLOBAL has moved from linear television to Samsung’s digital media platform in Mexico to better serve its digital-native audience, which is the youngest in combat sports.,
COMBATE GLOBAL became the first major MMA franchise to invest significantly into Mexico in 2017 when it brought its live event series to Mexico City for the first time.  It has since produced 23 live television events across six different cities across the country.

Last August, the promotion returned to Mexico for the first time since the pandemic with a five-bout live event at EndemolShine Boomdog’s studios in Mexico City.

COMBATE GLOBAL’s first live event of the new year takes place on February 26 and will be headlined by the return of Mexican television star and MMA fighter, Jawy “The Mexican Jake Paul” Mendez, who will face an opponent to be announced soon.
