Becerra and Sabori compete to a draw leading to a potential rematch

Combate Global fans received a treat from Salvador Becerra (8-3-1) and Pablo “El Gallo Negro” Sabori (10-6-1) who competed to a draw in a lightweight battle.
Both men were the main event of the Combate Global: Mexico vs USA, which aired live on Univision television April 16 in the U.S. and TUDN USA and in Mexico on Televisa Canal 5 from Univision’s studios in Miami, Fla.
In the first round, both men tested each other landing kicks and punches. Towards the middle of the round, Sabori’s nose was bleeding after he received several shots to nose.
Later on in the round, Becerra took down his foe, but ended up in the clinch in search of a submission.
In the second round, Becerra connected with a heavy right hand to start off the episode. Sabori loss steam but hanged around to play a defensive strategy.
In the last round, Sabori went for the low kick and later transitioned to work from the clinch. A bloodied Sabori threw a vicious right hand that took his foe straight to the canvass. He quickly attempted to go for the finish, but Becerra withstood the outpour of shots eventually leaving the judges to declare the fight a draw and setting up a potential rematch.
In the co-main event, a flyweight bout, Allysen Breeden (0-2) will have to continue to search for her first victory as Lucero “La Loba” Acosta (2-1) impressed fans with a knockout in the first round at 2:28.
The schoolteacher shook Acosta very early in the round bringing down the she wolf.
A few moments later, both traded blows where Acosta took advantage landing a series of combinations where eventually a right hook connected and knocked out Breeden to the canvass concluding the fight in the first episode leading Acosta with a howling win.
In the other main card bout, it was a dual at 170 pounds, where the wrestler Charlie Decca, cornered by mixed martial arts superstar Jorge Masvidal, took on Eric Alequin.
In the end, Alequin defeated Decca by way of unanimous decision. Decca earned his first defeated, while Alequin remained undefeated.

Jonathan “China” Calderon (1-1) defeated German Orpineda (0-1) by way of guillotine at 2:22 in the second round.
Eduardo Alvarado Osuna (9-6) defeated Raymond Ramos (5-5) by way of split decision.
