Villaseca discovered martial arts at a young age, when he began practicing karate in his father’s dojo at 4 years old. The values instilled in him by his father and the culture of sportsmanship that surrounded Villaseca, fueled his love of contact sports and drove him to continue to practice taekwondo. Villaseca won his first karate competition when he was 7 years old, and ten years later he earned a black belt in karate and taekwondo.
After learning two combat sports that focused on striking, “El Gallo” wanted to try something new. Looking to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (he is now a black belt), he discovered Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and immediately fell in love with the sport. On December 10, 2011, Villaseca made his professional debut in his native Chile, earning a convincing victory by KO in just 14 seconds, a fight that would change the course of his life forever.

Ten years ago, Chile’s MMA scene was neglected, yet Villaseca managed to embark on a career that would take him and his country to another level within the sport. Since his debut, the Chilean managed to maintain an undefeated record of 9-0 in his first four years as a pro, surpassing other South American fighters and becoming a pioneer of the sport in his country.
Villaseca, 32 years old, has competed and trained in different countries, memorably Brazil, Germany, Canada, Argentina, Peru and the United States. Currently, he is the Chilean fighter with the most registered fights and the best record.

“El Gallo” now intends to make history with Combate Americas in Peru, as he is part of their first card in South America. Villaseca competed for the first time inside “La Jaula” representing Chile in Copa Combate 2018, where he managed to pass the first round, defeating Daniel Requeijo by split decision. Later in the tournament, he lost to Alejandro Flores in the second round.
