Miami, FL– There is an extra motivation in Fernanda Lario’s corner, her boyfriend and professional figher Axel Osuna, who last competed against Combate Global champion David Martinez.

Lario’s is getting ready to return for action inside la jaula in the 2023 season. She is coming off a victory against Naomie Young by way of technical knockout in the first round back in September.

It has been a rough start to her career as a professional losing three in a row before getting her first victory against Young.

Relationship and Fighting 

But Osuna is that person who provides love and motivation in and out of la jaula. For most of her fights, Osuna is in her corner.

“Having someone like Axel there is a lot of pride. His mma career has been short, but he is always moving forward. It’s great because having a partner that fights we understand each other like knowing what to eat properly. But, it is almost like we are almost always together because we are training together, etc.,” she said in an instagram video.

All of her defeats have been by way of decision. In her Combate Global debut, she was defeated by Chile’s Valentina Escobar in April of last year.

“It was a fight I enjoyed, but one of the errors was that I should have studied her a little more,” she said.

Larios said that Escobar was attacking her with a lot of takedowns, which she did not anticipate.

MMA Beginnings 

Larios has been athletic at a young age. She started with swimming when she was only months old until she was seven-years-old. Soon after, she decided to wrestle and take martial arts classes. She also competed in jiu jitsu tournaments.

She become so passionate about the sport she dropped out of school to dedicate her time to MMA.

Currently, she trains out of Samurai and is looking forward to compete in the 2023 season.
