BIO
•BJJ Blue Belt
•Trains with Combate America’s bantamweight champion Jose Alday
•His coach is MMA superstar Chris Cariaso
•Has Muay Thai as his background martial art
Started training with his best friend, who wanted to learn jiu-jitsu when he was 21-years-old, so he
took him to a gym. Arturo liked the stand-up game, so he started doing Muay Thai. Ever since then,
he felt in love with it and started adding all the other aspects of the game, in order to be an MMA
fighter.
Even though he used to play football early in his life, he considers that MMA is his actual first
competitive sport.
He’s coming back in Combate America’s to fight in the same place (Casino Del Sol) he did one year
ago. Arturo is excited to fight in his hometown, especially for Combate. Fighting for this promotion is
one of his best all-time decision, he loves the atmosphere and the show.
He has just one fight in his contract with the promotion, so hopefully he will perform and put on a
good show, grab the “W” and have another opportunity.
