Fighting at home and representing Sacramento, California, Erick Sanchez<\/a><\/strong> (8-4)<\/strong> will try to get his fourth victory this Friday\u00a0 inside “La Jaula<\/strong>“, when he faces Mexican mix martial artist Alex Velasco<\/a><\/strong> (8 -3) <\/strong>at “Combate Americas: Stockton<\/a> Presented by Cricket Wireless”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sanchez<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a Mixed Martial Arts veteran who has come a long way in the sport, going through multiple promoters and having excellent performances since he joined the company in 2015. He entered Combate Americas<\/a><\/strong> with a 4-2 record as professional including 2 TKO victories, and immediately put his mark on “La Jaula<\/strong><\/a>” when he submitted Rudy Morales<\/a><\/strong> in his debut in just two rounds. After a bloody first round where both fighters were exchanging punches, Sanchez<\/a> <\/strong>managed to take the fight to the ground where he finished his rival with a rear naked choke.<\/p>\n

The American fighter managed to add one more victory to his record outside the promotion before returning for Combate 5<\/strong> to face Mike Segura<\/strong>, whom he victimized the same way as his previous opponent. Sanchez<\/strong>, with a 7-2 record at that moment, faced Andres Quintana<\/strong><\/a> at Combate 11<\/strong>, who defeated him by unanimous decision and became the only fighter to beat him in Combate Americas<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sanchez<\/strong> is coming off a victory by decision against Randy Steinke<\/strong> at Combate 13<\/strong>, and although he was defeated in a fight outside the organization, looks to start a winning streak that takes him to the top of the division.<\/p>\n
