This is always a battle!\u201d<br \/>\nIn a 130-pound catchweight main event, Gianni \u201cKriptonita\u201d Vazquez (13-5-1) will represent his<br \/>\nnative Mexico against Kamron Ortikov (7-2).<br \/>\nThe 31-year-old Vazquez, born and raised in Mexico City, fights out of the Irvine, Calif.-based<br \/>\ncamp of famed MMA trainer, Colin Oyama.<br \/>\nVazquez had been scheduled to headline the first 2026 installment of \u2018Mexico vs. USA\u2019 on April<br \/>\n11, but his matchup with Alvin Welch was scratched 48 hours prior to fight time due to a<br \/>\nmedical issue associated with Welch.<br \/>\nVazquez is the lone fighter in history to have defeated world-ranked contender, David Martinez,<br \/>\nan achievement that came on April 2021, when Vazquez earned a split decision over Martinez<br \/>\nat COMBATE GLOBAL.<br \/>\nFighting out of Sacramento, Calif. where he trains with retired, former superstar Urijah Faber\u2019s<br \/>\nTeam Alpha Male, the 25-year-old Ortikov is a native of Uzbekistan with experience fighting in<br \/>\nhis home country as well as elsewhere internationally, including Thailand and Abu Dhabi.<br \/>\nBoth Vazquez and Ortikov have earned more than half of their career wins by way of (T)KO or<br \/>\nsubmission.<br \/>\nAlso announced today was a welterweight (170 pounds) matchup between undefeated<br \/>\nphenom Jaden Ortega (6-0) and Alan \u201cEl Tibur\u00f3n Blanco\u201d Dominguez (11-8).<\/p>\n<p>Since making his COMBATE GLOBAL debut two years ago, the 23-year-old Ortega of Spokane,<br \/>\nWash. has been an unstoppable force, toppling multiple opponents with far more professional<br \/>\nfight experience than him.<br \/>\nIn his first start of the year on February 26, Ortega crumbled Ricardo \u201cWoody\u201d Chavez, who<br \/>\nentered the bout with over 50 professional fights under his belt, in the second round (:26) of<br \/>\ntheir matchup with a kick followed by a barrage of punches.<br \/>\nFighting out of Guadalajara, Jal., Mexico, the 29-year-old Dominguez represents yet another<br \/>\nhighly experienced opponent for Ortega.<br \/>\nDominguez holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.<br \/>\nAlso returning to action for the second time in 2026 will be undefeated atomweight (105<br \/>\npounds) sensation Janet Garcia (6-0) of San Jose, Calif.<br \/>\nArguably the best atomweight in the world, Garcia will be the lone American fighter on the card<br \/>\nto face a non-Mexican opponent in Melissa Gomez (6-1) of Santiago, Chile in a 110-pound<br \/>\ncatchweight fight.<br \/>\nElsewhere on the card, a lightweight (155 pounds) contest will see battle-tested veteran Ivan<br \/>\n\u201cChoko\u201d Castillo (25-18) of Ensenada, B.C., Mexico collide with Ashton Charlton (9-3) of<br \/>\nSpokane.<br \/>\nLeading off the card will be a 150-pound catchweight affair between Jose \u201cOchito\u201d Ochoa (3-1)<br \/>\nof Mexicali, B.C., Mexico and unbeaten Adrian Segovia (2-0) of Los Angeles.<br \/>\nAdditional information about COMBATE GLOBAL and its athletes can be found on<br \/>\nwww.CombateGlobal.com as well as on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCOMBATE GLOBAL: MEXICO VS.
