MIAMI \u2013 June 18, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 COMBATE GLOBAL and TelevisaUnivision today announced an exciting Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight card, headlined by a featherweight (145 pounds) showdown between Mexico\u2019s Kevin \u201cEl Prendido\u201d Garcia<\/strong> (10-4) and undefeated Frenchman Anas \u201cThe Rainmaker\u201d Azizoun<\/strong><\/a> (5-0). The event will be broadcast live on Univision<\/strong> (11 p.m. ET\/8 p.m. PT) from Miami on Saturday, June 22.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Garcia (26) hails from Monterey, N.L., Mexico and is a two-time veteran of COMBATE GLOBAL action.<\/p>\n

Garcia was last seen in La Jaula on April 20, 2018, when he earned a unanimous decision over Argentina\u2019s Juan Pablo Gonzalez in Garcia\u2019s hometown.<\/p>\n

Thus far, Garcia has earned 60 percent of his professional career victories by way of (T)KO or submission.<\/p>\n

Fighting out of Saint Etienne, France, Azizoun (26), who sports a nearly unblemished record of 17-1-1 in professional kickboxing and is a reigning world champion and four-time French national champion in the sport, was nicknamed after his aggressive punching style.<\/p>\n

To date, Azizoun has been perfect in La Jaula, defeating Mexico\u2019s Ismael \u201cKraken\u201d Zamora and American Adam \u201cKid Solo\u201d Ortiz via majority decision and unanimous decision, respectively.<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s co-main event will feature a women\u2019s atomweight (105 pounds) bout between two-time national Karate champion Andrea Meneses<\/strong><\/a> (5-2) and unbeaten striker Janet Garcia<\/strong> <\/a>(2-0).<\/p>\n

Meneses (27) from Gava, Spain, holds a black belt in Kyokushinkai Karate and is a member of Team Uppercut, the Barcelona-based fight camp that competed in the 2022 COMBATE GLOBAL \u2018Exclusivos\u2019 competition reality series.<\/p>\n

Garcia (33) from San Francisco, Calif., is a member of Team AKA, led by trainer and former world kickboxing champion Javier Mendez, who has produced and mentored a slew of MMA champions. Garcia remains unbeaten in La Jaula, with unanimous decision victories over Mariah Castro and Katie Perez in 2023.<\/p>\n

In a featured lightweight (155 pounds) matchup, undefeated Michel \u201cLa Furia\u201d Martinez<\/strong> (3-0) of Valencia, Spain will take on Rudisel Mora<\/strong> (0-1) of Miami.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
