Miami, FL<\/strong>– Two men return to la jaula for the first time this year as Edir \u201cBelico\u201d Terry (8-4) meets Mexico\u2019s Miguel \u201cIron Mike\u201d Gonzalez<\/a> (5-1) in this week\u2019s main event for CG 2022 September 16: Gonzalez vs Terry.<\/p>\n

In the co-main event, Ireland\u2019s Patrick Lehane<\/a> (5-1) welcomes undefeated Chilean Jose \u201cTiro Loco\u201d Ferreira (8-0) in a fight 150 lbs.<\/p>\n

Terry vs Gonzalez <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gonzalez made his debut last November defeating Chris Boasso by way of guillotine choke in the second round. The Mexican has yet to compete in the third round as his fights have come to an end by way of technical knockout or submissions.<\/p>\n

He trains out of A.D.A.M. and is the brother of Maximiliano Gonzalez. Miguel was scheduled to fight earlier this year, but the proposed fights fell through. Now, he is determined to earn a victory inside la jaula for the first time in 2022.<\/p>\n

As for Terry, the Venezuelan and Peruvian last competed in October of 2021 defeating his opponent by way of unanimous decision. However, he competed in May of 2021 inside la jaula knocking out Carlos Puente Jr. in the third round.<\/p>\n

Terry trains out of MMA Masters in Miami, and counts on a strong arsenal so strong and fast he broke Irwin Rivera\u2019s leg by a kick back in 2018.<\/p>\n

This should be a fast contested fight, but look for Terry\u2019s continuous leg kicks to make the difference in the fight. Gonzalez will exchange hands hoping to get really close to get the fight to floor where he can potentially search for a submission.<\/p>\n

Ferreira vs Lehane <\/strong><\/p>\n

The last time Lehane, the 2021 European tournament winner, entered la jaula he looked fierce annihilating Gabriel Morales wining by way of technical knockout in the second round back in May.<\/p>\n

His only professional loss came by the hands of Cristian Perez by way of unanimous decision in a one round USA vs Mexico tournament fight. He trains out of the SBD Cork City with head coach Liam-Og Griffin.<\/p>\n

Ferreira trains with high-level fighters out of Chicago\u2019s Valle Flow Striking, home to Enrique \u201cBaby Bull\u201d Gonzalez, former world champion Juliana Pena and more.<\/p>\n

The Chilean won titles in his native country and has finished his opponents by ground and pound and submissions. His last fight was in April defeating his opponent by way of anaconda choke in the first round by way of Anaconda Choke.<\/p>\n

Ferreira should be a strong challenge for Lehane. The Irish will need to depend on his footwork and reach. The jab will be his best friend. As for Ferreira, he counts on a heavy right hand, which he can strike if he gets in close reach and if they fight goes to the ground, his ground game will favor him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
