Miami, FL<\/strong>– Axel Osuna<\/a> (5-1) dampens the hopes of David Solorzano<\/a> (5-1) of getting a shot at the Bantamweight champion David Martinez.<\/p>\n

Osuna defeated Solorzano by way of TKO in the third round at 3:38 in the main event of CG 2022 August 26: Osuna vs Solorzano.<\/p>\n

In the co-main event, New York\u2019s Leodegario Muniz<\/a> defeated Mauricio Cubillo by way of TKO at: 57 seconds in the third round.<\/p>\n

Now, Muniz and Osuna have a potential shot at Martinez\u2019s belt. A decision will soon be made, as who will get a crack at champion as the fight will take place later this year.<\/p>\n

In the main event, Osuna displayed crisp stand up working the body. He was letting his hands go, but Solorzano was not answering back.<\/p>\n

Osuna, who is known for his submission victory background, didn\u2019t display much of his ground game and stayed to the game plan of breaking down his opponent eventually getting Solorzano to the corner capturing next to la jaula where he worked from the side mount unleashing several punches and elbows that left him a huge cut on the head.<\/p>\n

Solorzano prepared to work on the ground predicting Osuna would explore his jiu jitsu. But it was not needed as Osuna unleashed a great display of boxing.<\/p>\n

In the co-main event, Cubillo\u2019s game plan of taking as many shots which included hands and elbows as possible from Muniz hoping he would gas out. However, Muniz was persistent with his hands throwing leather nonstop.<\/p>\n

In the third round, Cubillo seemed to be the one that ran out of gas. Muniz capitalized and landed a one-two combination that took Cubillo to the ground-forcing referee to step in and call the fight in the last chapter of the bout.<\/p>\n

Axel Osuna defeated David Solorzano by way of TKO at 3:38 in the third round.<\/p>\n

Leodegario Muniz defeated Mauricio Cubillo defeated by way of TKO at :57 in the third round.<\/p>\n

Mariah Castro defeated Lupe Mateo by way of unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Gerardo Graniel defeated Santiago Monrieal by way of unanimous decision.<\/p>\n
