ENRIQUE \u201cBABY BULL\u201d GONZALEZ (USA) VS. ANGEL \u201cSALSA KING\u201d ALVAREZ (CUBA)<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW YORK <\/strong>\u2013 July 6, 2022 <\/strong>\u2013 Combate Global today announced a five-fight Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) lineup for Friday, July 8, on Univision (12 a.m. ET\/PT) and TUDN (12 a.m. ET\/9 p.m. PT) from Miami, Fla.<\/p>\n

In the lightweight (155 pounds) main event, American sensation Enrique \u201cBaby Bull\u201d Gonzalez<\/strong><\/a> (12-4) will square off with undefeated Cuban star Angel \u201cSalsa King\u201d Alvarez<\/strong><\/a> (5-0).<\/p>\n

Fighting out of Valle Flow Striking in Chicago, Ill., the 23-year-old Gonzalez, who originally hails from Laredo, Texas, will make his first Combate Global appearance of 2022, following a banner year in 2021 when he racked up four victories without a single loss, including three consecutive wins in one night to emerge the winner of a one-night, eight-man lightweight tournament last November 12.<\/p>\n

Like Gonzalez, Alvarez, a 27-year-old resident of Miami and native of Cuban capital city Havana, went unbeaten in 2021 over the course of three fights, including his Combate Global promotional debut on October 22, 2021, when he defeated Gerrick Bontekoe by way of unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Alvarez is coming off a second round (3:04) TKO (punches) of Daniel Sanchez Vazquez at Combate Global\u2019s first event of the year on March 24.<\/p>\n

In a featured lightweight bout, Alfrego \u201cTarzan\u201d Ruelas<\/strong> (3-2) of Mexico City, Mexico will take on Simone Serra<\/strong> (3-2) of Barcelona, Spain.<\/p>\n

Making her first start of 2022, 23-year-old Alitzel Mariscal<\/strong> (2-2) of Zapopan, Jal., Mexico will face off with Shannon Goughary<\/strong> (5-7) of Nashville, Tenn.<\/p>\n

In a women\u2019s atomweight (105 pounds) preliminary bout, Chrisoula Koukouvetakis<\/strong> (3-1) of Salt Lake City, Utah will make her Combate Global debut against fellow promotional newcomer Katherine Perez<\/strong> (2-2) of Cullowhee, N.C.<\/p>\n

The undercard will kick off with a flyweight (125 pounds) meeting between Roger Blanque<\/strong> (4-3) of Barcelona and Carlos Puente, Jr.<\/strong> (6-6) of El Centro, Calif.<\/p>\n
