Combate Global airs Friday starting at 10:30 PM ET on Paramount Plus and 12 a.m. ET on Univision.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a main event between United States vs Mexico in a fight that is anticipated to bring fireworks.<\/p>\n

Plus, Maritza Martinez (2-1) welcomes Aitana Alvarez (1-1), from Spain, in a flyweight battle for the evening\u2019s co-main event.<\/p>\n

\nWard vs Perez<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ward, who trains with Sanford MMA, defeated Alfrego Ruelas and Dumar Roa with both fights going the distance. Throwing everything he could in his arsenal with crisp boxing and great kickboxing, he searched for an early stoppage in his two fights inside la jaula. In his fighting resume, Ward has two knockout victories, but would like to achieve one in la jaula.<\/p>\n

Look for the cowboy to use his reach, height and a series of combinations to potentially conclude this bout early. He likes to pick apart his opponents slowly and going for the finish when appropriate. But, he cannot get content, Perez is vicious and can dictate the fight if allowed.

\nHowever, Perez is coming in this fight ferociously. Gabe Barletta and Shaheen Santana, who was a lot taller than him similar to Ward.<\/p>\n

Perez, who trains with Lions Alpha Team, has become a mature and smart fighter. He is not wasting his shots and targets his areas and attacks when the appropriate time. He knows that Ward has power so expect him to move around from the start to get a feel of his opponent with the fight progressing and picking up the pace as we get into the latter rounds.<\/p>\n

This will be an intense but strategic battle testing and pushing both fighters to display their skills.<\/p>\n

Sanchez vs Alvarez<\/strong><\/p>\n

On a two fight win streak, Sanchez plans on ruining Alvarez\u2019s visit to la jaula. The AB\u2019s Dragon House fighter plans on continuing her victory lap. She has powerful hand combinations and is not afraid to take her foes to the floor and show off her groundwork.<\/p>\n

She submitted Lucero Acosta and last year she defeated Elizabeth Schroeder by split decision.<\/p>\n

Look for her to trade with Alvarez but if the chance of going to the ground is available, she\u2019ll pull the trigger.<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be the first time for Alvarez fighting in the states. It is a grand opportunity stepping inside la jaula I front of a large audience, however, the Spaniard is ready to throw down. She is coming off a decision list where she stood with her opponent all three rounds.<\/p>\n

She has a heavy cross and loves to strike. She is not afraid to inside the pocket and duke it out.<\/p>\n

If Sanchez entertains a fist fest, Alvarez\u2019s durability could be the deciding factor. She also has good clinch work.<\/p>\n
