Miami, FL<\/strong>– Italy\u2019s Manuela Marconetto<\/a> routed Spain\u2019s Claudia Diaz<\/a> at this week\u2019s CG2022 April 8 fight card.<\/p>\n

The fight card took place in Miami, Florida featuring an all women featured fight card.<\/p>\n

Marconetto, who made her Combate Global debut, exchanged hands, but her plan was to direct the majority of the fight in the clinch forbidding her foe of any offense.<\/p>\n

A frustrated Diaz, attempted to apply a guillotine but Marconetto defended well positioning her chin and continue with her plan of taking Diaz to the clinch where she landed knees.<\/p>\n

There were some instances where both exchanged especially in the opening of the third round, but it wasn\u2019t enough to convince the judges as Marconetto defeated Diaz by way of unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

In the co-main event, Anna Somers earned her first professional victory by defeating the young rising star Irlanda Galindo by way of knockout at 4:05 in the first round.<\/p>\n

In an unfortunate turn of events, as Somers searched for several submissions such as a triangle choke. However, she decided to trap Galinda\u2019s arm and for a kimura. She held on to it until unfortunately, Galinda\u2019s arm snapped loudly as it bent the wrong direction.<\/p>\n

Galinda did not leave in a stretcher but walked out of the jaula on her own. She was taken to an adjacent hospital for medical care.<\/p>\n

Also, in her debut a decorated jiu jitsu practitioner Flor Chavez defeated Las Vegas\u2019 Blanca Marquez by way of unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Chavez made both her professional and Combate Global debut to pure success. Right from the start, she was confident in her striking and exchanged with Marquez landing heavy shots. One of the hits caused Marquez to get a bloody nose.<\/p>\n

An emotional Chavez hoisted her hands high victoriously.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the returning Andrea Amaro made quick work of Carolynn Cordoba winning by 2:47 in the first round by way of technical knockout.<\/p>\n

In addition, Ismael Zamora defeated Rick Zelada by way of arm bar at 1:28 in the second round.<\/p>\n
