Miami, FL<\/strong> \u2013 Mexico\u2019s Daniel Sanchez (3-1) surprised jiu jitsu expert Levi Escobar (2-1) with proper takedown defense and controlling the ground game as he earned his first victory inside la jaula at last night\u2019s CG2021 October 29 main event.<\/p>\n

Sanchez who suffered a submission defeat back in August, made sure to research his opponent prior to the bout as Escobar looked puzzled and was halted from using any of his ground game. Sanchez defeated Escobar by way of unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Escobar was thrown a curve ball as Sanchez displayed his jiu jitsu skills at times leaving his opponent in difficult positions where he could have landed a submission.<\/p>\n

Sanchez controlled Escobar using his weight property. Escobar did attempt a heel hook, but Sanchez was intelligent defending any arsenal displayed by his foe.<\/p>\n

At the end of the fight, Escobar showed his frustration as Sanchez took the win by unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Martin vs Montano<\/strong><\/p>\n

Decorated wrestler Mark Martin (6-1) showed his stand-up skill but counted on his bread and butter as he defeated veteran Erick Montano by way of unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

The MMA Lab stand out did not hold back on showing his hand skills exchanging with Erick Perry Montano (8-7).<\/p>\n

However, despite a couple heavy hands landed by Montano, the rest of the fight was controlled by Martin\u2019s dominate wrestling. One the fight went to the ground; Montano could not do much other than one time when he was able to escape and take the fight to the feet.<\/p>\n

However, it wasn\u2019t enough, and Martin earned a successful Combate Global debut.<\/p>\n

Zamora vs Estrada<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was a bad day in the office for Ismael Zamora (1-1) who returned to la jaula as he was defeated by Saul Tijerina Estrada (1-0) who had a successful debut winning by split decision.<\/p>\n

Estrada stalked his foe and connected with powerful hands. He worked the body and at times connecting with combinations. On the contrary, Estrada used his footwork as he would connect and move around, but that did not impress the judges, as he faced his first defeat.<\/p>\n

CG2021 October 29 Results:<\/p>\n

Justin V\u00e1zquez defeated Gego Kelly at 1:19 in the first round by way of a guillotine choke.<\/p>\n

Rodrigo Garcia defeated Richard Pab\u00f3n in a majority decision.<\/p>\n

Chris Renter\u00eda defeated Alexander Sanchez at 1:02 in the first round by way of Rear Naked Choke.<\/p>\n

Sa\u00fal Tijerina Estrada defeated Ismael Zamora by way of split decision.<\/p>\n

Mark Martin defeated Erick Montano by unanimous decision.<\/p>\n
