NEW YORK <\/strong>\u2013 September 14, 2021 <\/strong>\u2013 Combate Global today announced a complete, seven-bout Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight card, headlined by a \u2018Mexico vs. USA\u2019 themed matchup, live on Paramount+ on Friday, Sept. 17 from Miami, Fla.<\/p>\n

Paramount+ live coverage will begin with a Combate Global pre-show at 10:30 p.m. ET\/9:30 p.m. CT, and will continue with the live fight action, beginning at 11:00 p.m. ET\/10:00 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n

Additionally, this week\u2019s Combate coverage is complemented on CBS Sports Network with a one-hour recap show from the September 10 event on Thursday, September 16 at 9 p.m. ET\/8 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n

In the featherweight (145 pounds) main event, Mexico\u2019s Martin \u201cEl Toro\u201d Bravo<\/strong> (11-3) will collide with seasoned American competitor Andrew \u201cThe Beast\u201d Whitney<\/strong> (16-9) of Miami.<\/p>\n

Fighting out of Hickman, Calif. and the famed Nick Diaz Academy in Stockton, Calif., the 27-year-old Bravo hails from Rosarito, B.C., Mexico and was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3<\/em> competition reality television series in 2016.<\/p>\n

In a featured lightweight (155 pounds) matchup, Carlos \u201cEl Changuito\u201d Calvo Calvo<\/strong> (7-1) of Santa Teresa, Costa Rica will tangle with Javier \u201cBlair\u201d Reyes<\/strong> (11-3) of Bogota, Colombia.<\/p>\n

On the heels of her impressive, first round (4:36) submission (armbar) victory over Jade Jorand in Combate Global action just two weeks ago, Gloria \u201cLa Gloriosa\u201d Bravo<\/strong><\/a> (5-5) of Santiago, Chile will return to La Jaula, the Combate Global competition cage, to face unbeaten Irlanda Galindo<\/strong> (1-0) of Mexico City, Mexico.<\/p>\n

The four-fight preliminary bout card will be highlighted by a welterweight (170 pounds) contest between undefeated rising star Eric Alequin<\/strong> (5-0) of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Team AKA member Ernesto Ancona<\/strong> (3-1) of San Jose, Calif.<\/p>\n

In women\u2019s bantamweight (135 pounds) action, Maritza Sanchez<\/strong> (1-1) of El Dorado, Calif., will square off with Elizabeth Schroder<\/strong> (1-1) of Durham, N.C.<\/p>\n

In another bantamweight bout, undefeated David Solorzano<\/strong> (3-0) of San Francisco, Calif. will face off with Ramon Vizcarra<\/strong> (3-2) of Mexicali, B.C.<\/p>\n

Christopher Daniels<\/strong> (5-2-1) of Miramar, Fla. will meet Santiago Monreal<\/strong> (4-2) of Mexicali, B.C. at flyweight (125 pounds).<\/p>\n
