NEW YORK <\/strong>\u2013 July 19, 2021 <\/strong>\u2013 Combate Global today announced a complete, six-bout Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight lineup, live on Paramount+ on Friday, July 23.<\/p>\n

Paramount+ live coverage will begin with a Combate Global pre-show at 10:30 p.m. ET\/9:30 p.m. CT, and will continue with the live fight action, beginning at 11:00 p.m. ET\/10:00 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n

In addition, this week\u2019s Combate coverage is complemented on CBS Sports Network with the one-hour recap show on Thursday July 22 (9:00 p.m. ET) highlighting last week\u2019s action.<\/p>\n

In the main event announced today, two submission aces \u2013 Jesus Santos Aguilar<\/strong><\/a> (6-1) and Cristian \u201cScorpio\u201d Barraza<\/strong> (6-1) \u2013 will face off against each other at a catchweight of 130 pounds.<\/p>\n

Santos Aguilar, a 25-year-old native of Ensenada, B.C., Mexico, has been on fire, winning six consecutive bouts since suffering his lone career loss in his professional debut in 2015.<\/p>\n

All but one of Santos Aguilar\u2019s career victories have come via submission, including each of his last three by way of guillotine choke.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the 27-year-old Barraza of Santiago, Chile is riding a five-fight win streak, with all five victories being produced by way of submission.\u00a0 Four of the five wins came inside the first round of action.<\/p>\n

In the co-main event and another Mexico vs. Chile showdown, Ana \u201cLa Guerrera\u201d Palacios<\/strong> (5-1-1) of Mexico City, Mexico will take on Gloria \u201cGloriosa\u201d Bravo<\/strong> (5-4) of Santiago in an atomweight (105 pounds) bout.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old Palacios\u2019 return to action comes two months after her unanimous decision victory over Yajaira Cunningham.\u00a0 The win was Palacios\u2019 third straight and third overall under the promotion of Combate Global, where she has yet to be defeated.<\/p>\n

Bravo, who hails from Santiago, is a 35-year-old, two-time veteran of Combate Global action.\u00a0 Her return to La Jaula, the Combate Global competition cage, will mark her first start since she earned a unanimous decision over Paulina Granados on April 26, 2019.<\/p>\n

A featured lightweight (155 pounds) contest will see Hugo \u201cHooligan\u201d Flores<\/strong> (8-3) of Guadalajara, J.L., Mexico take on Alexander \u201cRolo\u201d Torres<\/strong> (6-5) of Bogota, Colombia.<\/p>\n

The four-bout undercard will be highlighted by a bantamweight (135 pounds) affair pitting unbeaten upstarts Hector Ferral Perez<\/strong> (3-0) of Ciudad de Juarez, Chih., Mexico against David \u201cThe Silent Killer\u201d Solorzano<\/strong> (2-0) of San Francisco, Calif.<\/p>\n

At welterweight (170 pounds), Omoyele \u201cKillswitch\u201d Gonzalez<\/strong> (1-0) of Chicago, Ill. will battle Gerardo Bazaldua<\/strong> (1-0) of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico.<\/p>\n

Chris Ocon<\/strong> (4-2) of Miami will meet Trevor Wells<\/strong> (4-2) of Murrieta, Calif. at flyweight (125 pounds).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
