Miami, FL<\/strong>– In her Combate Global debut, Isis Verbeek<\/a> (3-1) defeated Chile\u2019s Caroline Gallardo<\/a> (4-4) in the event\u2019s main event.<\/p>\n

CG 2021 July 9\u2019s featured Netherlands Verbeek\u2019s debut inside la jaula in a hard hitting three round war.<\/p>\n

First Round<\/strong><\/p>\n

At one point, Verbeek hit a front kick but Gallardo caught the leg and brought Verbeek to the canvass; however, both fighters quickly went to their feet to exchange a few shots.<\/p>\n

With ten seconds left in the first round, Verbeek hit an uppercut to end the round.<\/p>\n

Second Round<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gallardo connected with a one-two combination, but Verbeek responded with a right hand. Towards the end of the round, Verbeek seemed to pick up the pace connecting with punches, but Gallardo countered with an overhand right.<\/p>\n

Third Round<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the last episode, both fighters continued the fighting flow, toward the last few seconds of the round Gallardo attempted to put an end to her opponent with combinations but it wasn\u2019t enough to convince the judges who awarded the fight to Verbeek.<\/p>\n

Right from the start, Wassmer took down his opponent with a set of combination. Once he fell to the ground, Wassmer searched for the rear naked choke submission where eventually he was able to connect.<\/p>\n

Ismael Zamora defeated Gustavo Navarrete by way of TKO at 3:12. <\/strong><\/p>\n

First Round <\/strong><\/p>\n

Navarrete hit spinning back elbow in the middle of the first round. Navarrete was cut open under the right eye. The bell saved Navarrete as he was getting pummeled in ground and pound.<\/p>\n

Second Round <\/strong><\/p>\n

Zamora continued his onslaught using kicks and later taking his opponent to the ground. Navarrete was defenseless on the ground. Zamora landed a fury of elbows leaving no option, but to stop the fight at 3:12 in the second round by of TKO.<\/p>\n

Rick Zelada defeated Justin Arteaga by way of Unanimous Decision. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Rick Zelada dominated the first two rounds hitting hard Justin Arteaga\u2019s leg. Toward the end of the fight, his Artega right leg was bright red.<\/p>\n

In the third round, Arteaga attempted to finish the fight, but it was too little too late as the judges awarded the victory unanimously to Zelada.<\/p>\n

A fight between Dante Brown and Lamar Brown was cancelled due to sickness.<\/p>\n

Isis Verbeek (3-1) defeated Caroline Gallardo (4-4) by way of unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Heinrich Wassmer (7-5) defeated Marcos Lopez (5-4) by way of submission (rear naked choke) at 2:38 in the first round.<\/p>\n
