{"id":12179,"date":"2021-06-22T19:40:50","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T02:40:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.combateglobal.com\/?p=12179"},"modified":"2021-06-22T19:51:03","modified_gmt":"2021-06-23T02:51:03","slug":"when-she-is-not-fighting-iveth-del-carmen-is-taking-care-of-smiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/combateglobal.com\/en\/when-she-is-not-fighting-iveth-del-carmen-is-taking-care-of-smiles","title":{"rendered":"When she is not fighting, Iveth Del Carmen is taking care of smiles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When she is not taking care of business inside la jaula, Iveth Del Carmen is making sure her patient\u2019s have perfect smiles.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico\u2019s Del Carmen (1-0) will meet Miami\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/combateglobal.com\/en\/former-champion-jose-alday-defeats-his-opponent-in-57-seconds\">Yajaira \u201cPantera Negra\u201d Cunningham<\/a> (2-2) this Friday live on Univision (12 a.m. ET\/PT) and TUDN USA (12 a.m. ET\/9 p.m. PT) in the United States and TUDN MX (11 p.m. local hour) from the station\u2019s studios in Miami, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Del Carmen will be making her debut for Combate Global against Cunningham, who was defeated by Ana Palacios last month.<\/p>\n<p>For Del Carmen, she is coming off a victory against Mariana Ruiz Avila back in March.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DENTIST<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When she is not training for her upcoming fight, the orthodontist is treating patients in her dental clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Not only does she take care of human teeth, but she also volunteers at a local veteran clinic where she helps dogs and cats with their dental features.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LOSING HER COUSIN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of her toughest battles in life has been overcoming her cousin\u2019s death who died at 32. He was killed in an assault.<\/p>\n<p>A former professional boxer, she considered him like a brother.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLosing him was a lesson for me,\u201d she said. \u201cI learned that life is too short and everything should be appreciated.
