\u00a0<\/strong>NEW YORK and MIAMI <\/strong>\u2013 May 17, 2021 <\/strong>\u2013 Combate Global and Univision Communications Inc. today announced the complete lineup for their next Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event on Friday, May 21, live on Univision (12 a.m. ET\/PT) and TUDN USA (12 a.m. ET\/9 p.m. PT) in the U.S. and on TUDN MX (11 p.m. local time) in Mexico from Univision\u2019s studios in Miami, Fla.<\/p>\n

The show will also re-air in Mexico on Televisa Nueve the following day, Saturday, May 22 at 5 p.m. local time.<\/p>\n

In the lightweight (155 pounds) main event, undefeated, fast-rising Mexican star Cristian \u201cPuas\u201d Perez <\/strong><\/a>(4-0) will take on hard-hitting American Brian \u201cThe Bad Boy\u201d Del Rosario<\/strong> (5-4).<\/p>\n

Hailing from Ensenada, B.C., the 25-year-old Perez\u2019s speedy return to La Jaula, the Combate Global cage, comes just four weeks after his stunning, 29-second submission (heel hook) of Geraldo Almonte<\/strong> on April 23. The quick finish marked Perez\u2019s second consecutive first round submission victory.<\/p>\n

In addition to his place in the MMA world, the 31-year-old Del Rosario of Northridge, Calif. is the reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Welterweight Muay Thai Champion, a title he captured on August 18, 2019 after scoring a second round knockout on Joe Davidson<\/strong> with a knee strike to the face.<\/p>\n

Del Rosario, who miraculously overcame a horrific motorcycle accident that left him hospitalized during the latter part of 2019, has earned all of his MMA victories to date by way of (T)KO or submission.<\/p>\n

In a featured welterweight (170 pounds) contest, Marcos \u201cEl Lobo\u201d Lloreda<\/strong> (9-6) of Miami will face off with Luis \u201cSicario\u201d Iniguez<\/strong> (3-1) of Portland, Ore.<\/p>\n

Making their respective professional debuts against each other in a flyweight (125 pounds) bout, Blanca Marquez<\/strong> (0-0) of Las Vegas, Nev. will meet Mariel Celimen<\/strong> (0-0) of Miami.<\/p>\n

Carlos \u201cEl Rey\u201d Puente, Jr.<\/strong> (6-4) will battle Edir \u201cBelico\u201d Terry<\/strong> (6-4) in a bantamweight (135 pounds) affair.<\/p>\n

A lightweight preliminary bout will pit Daniel \u201cThe Android\u201d Matos<\/strong> (4-3) of Tampa, Fla. against Danny \u201cThe Realist\u201d Ramirez<\/strong> (6-7) of El Dorado Hills, Calif.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
