NEW YORK and MIAMI <\/strong>\u2013 May 10, 2021 <\/strong>\u2013 Combate Global and Univision Communications Inc. today announced the complete lineup for their next Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event on Friday, May 14, live on Univision (12 a.m. ET\/PT) and TUDN USA (12 a.m. ET\/9 p.m. PT) in the U.S. and on TUDN MX (11 p.m. local time) in Mexico from Univision\u2019s studios in Miami, Fla.<\/p>\n

The show will also re-air in Mexico on Televisa Nueve the following day, Saturday, May 15 at 5 p.m. local time.<\/p>\n

In a featured (135 pounds) matchup, former world champion Jose \u201cPochito\u201d Alday<\/strong> (13-5-1) will battle prolific finisher Ramon \u201cBombardero\u201d Cardozo<\/strong> (8-4).<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old Alday of Tucson, Ariz. via Hermosillo, Son., Mexico is a scrappy, battle-tested competitor whose relentless determination led him to become the first Combate world bantamweight champion in history on September 14, 2018 when he earned a majority decision over Gustavo Lopez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Alday also boasts victories over John \u201cSexi Mexi\u201d Castaneda<\/strong> and recent Combate Global fight winner Gianni \u201cKryptonita\u201d Vazquez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cardozo is a 26-year-old rising star who hails from Campeche, Mexico. He is riding a three-fight winning streak, that includes an impressive, 37-second submission (arm triangle choke) of Carlos Mascorro<\/strong> on September 18, 2020.<\/p>\n

In a featured, 153-pound catchweight affair, Jordan \u201cBull\u201d Beltran<\/strong> (10-6) of Puebla, Mexico will face off with Jose \u201cThe Mercenary\u201d Zarauz<\/strong> (21-7-1) of Lima, Peru<\/p>\n

A featured women\u2019s catchweight (110 pounds) contest will pit 22-year-old Ana \u201cLa Guerrera\u201d Palacios<\/strong> (4-1-1) of Mexico City, Mexico against Yajaira \u201cPantera Negra\u201d Cunningham<\/strong> (2-1) of Homestead, Fla.<\/p>\n

In a featherweight preliminary card bout, undefeated Ramiro \u201cEl Cachanilla\u201d Jimenez<\/strong> (4-0) of Mexicali, B.C., Mexico will put his perfect record on the line again fellow submission specialist Michael Rodriguez<\/strong> (3-1) of Miami.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
