NEW YORK and MIAMI <\/strong>– April 14, 2021 <\/strong>\u2013Combate Global and Univision Communications, Inc. today announced the complete lineup for a \u2018Mexico vs. USA\u2019 Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event for Friday, April 16, live on television in the U.S. on Univision (12:30 a.m. ET\/PT) and TUDN USA (12:30 a.m. ET\/9:30 p.m. PT) and in Mexico on Televisa Canal 9 and TUDN MX (11:30 p.m. local time) from Univision\u2019s studios in Miami, Fla.<\/p>\n

\u201cCombate Global\u2019s North American championship has ignited a sports rivalry that will be hotter than any other,\u201d said Combate Global CEO Campbell McLaren<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the lightweight (155 pounds) main event, Pablo \u201cEl Gallo Negro\u201d Sabori<\/strong> (10-6) will face off with fellow hard-hitting, rising star Salvador Becerra<\/strong> (8-3).<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old Sabori of Hermosillo, Son., Mexico has produced some of the most epic battles in La Jaula, the Combate Global competition cage, with his aggressive and relentless offense.<\/p>\n

To date, Sabori has earned 8 of his 10 career wins by way of (T)KO or submission.<\/p>\n

Representing the U.S. opposite Sabori, the 25-year-old Becerra of Modesto, Calif. is a seasoned competitor who is looking to return to form after sustaining a broken arm in his last Combate start at the annual \u201cCOPA COMBATE\u201d extravaganza in Lima, Peru on December 20, 2019.<\/p>\n

Becerra earned his best career victory to date with a unanimous decision over Ignacio Bahamondes<\/strong> in Combate action on November 22, 2019.<\/p>\n

In the bantamweight co-main event, undefeated Guillermo \u201cMemo\u201d Torres<\/strong> (4-0) of Guadalajara, J.A., Mexico will square off with Edir \u201cBelico\u201d Terry<\/strong> (6-4) of Miami.<\/p>\n

A featured women\u2019s flyweight (125 pounds) contest will pit Lucero \u201cLa Loba\u201d Acosta<\/strong> (1-1) of El Centro, Calif. via Tijuana, B.C., Mexico against American upstart Allysen Breeden<\/strong> (0-1) of Las Vegas, Nev.<\/p>\n

Topping the undercard will be a 140-pound catchweight bout between Eduardo Alvarado \u201cEl Pube\u201d Osuna (<\/strong>8-6) of Tijuana and Raymond \u201cGodson\u201d Ramos<\/strong> (5-4) of Hollywood, Fla.<\/p>\n

In a flyweight matchup, unbeaten kickboxing star German Orpineda<\/strong> (0-0 MMA, 5-0 kickboxing) of Chihuahua City, Chih., Mexico will make his professional MMA debut against Jonathan Calderon<\/strong> (0-1) of Miami.<\/p>\n

The preliminary bout card will kick off with a non-Mexico vs. USA matchup between a pair of undefeated welterweight (170 pounds) prospects Charlie Decca<\/strong> (3-0) of Miami and Eric Alequin<\/strong> (3-0) of West Palm Beach Fla.<\/p>\n
